Condemnation Sought For Clam Bayou Restoration Project

In order to restore Clam Bayou, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) will ask the City of St. Petersburg to acquire property by eminent domain.

SWFWMD plans to build a stormwater retention pond as part of its project. The decision to acquire the property by eminent domain was approved by SWFWMD on June 4th. The sum of $200,000 has been allocated for the condemnation process.
